All the hardest, coldest people you meet,
were once as soft as water.
And that’s the tragedy of living.

We just don’t say how we feel. We don’t tell people that we like them, and that we have a crush on them, and we love them, that we’re in love with them, just because we’re too scared. And we spend, we waste, all of this time battling with ourselves in our own heads. “What if they say this, yeah, but what if they say that” and we never just actually find out what they would say. We never just bite the bullet and just go “Do you know what? I like you! And if you feel the same way, that’s awesome. And if you don’t, that’s okay as well, but I just need some time to get over it.” And then it’s done, and you know you know the answer and you don’t have to waste precious minutes more wondering what would happen if you just told that person you liked them. Just tell that person you like them! It’s okay! It’s okay to do that!

She was not an adventure. She was not a fine and precious thing. She was a girl.
